That’s my mother’s favourite mantra to chant morning to night… and probably in her sleep, too.

See… in my mother’s eyes, and the community I’m from, you cannot live your life for yourself.

No. You are the all singing, all dancing puppet living your life out on a stage. The Truman Show was based on the lives of people from my background.

Remember when Hallowe’en was the holiday for all things spooky and down right scary?!
Absolutely terrifying programmes would fill up the TV guide, like ‘Are you Afraid of the Dark?’, spiders, cobwebs and witch brooms would start appearing everywhere! You’d organise a group of friends (and grown ups) to go trick or treating with, and think of the scariest, ugliest, most gruesome thing you could be…

This is a Halloween appropriate costume. It is scary!
